Kentucky's premium source for TAMUK rabbits!
Celebrated for their striking black-and-copper plumage and rich chocolate brown eggs, our Black Copper Marans lay 150-200 uniquely colored eggs per year. Docile and adaptable, they’re perfect for free-range or confined setups, adding elegance to any flock.
Developed by Dr. Steven Lukefahr at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, the TAMUK-C is a composite breed crafted from seven distinct breeds, designed to thrive in hot and humid climates like those of Texas (and Kentucky!). With longer ears and thinner fur coats, our TAMUK-C rabbits excel in heat tolerance, making them ideal for year-round production. These robust rabbits, weighing a minimum of 10 lbs at maturity, come in a stunning array of colors, including agouti, black, blue, chocolate, lilac, creme, opal, seal, Siamese, chinchilla, Himalayan, albino, steel, harlequin, and red. Known for their fast growth, high production, and strong feed conversion, our TAMUK-C rabbits are perfect for backyard meat production or as colorful, hardy additions to your homestead.
